Candle Jar Upgrade

So I want to share a little DIY I did this week. I am redoing my hall bathroom, the one everyone uses, even company! Yikes, it was looking shabby! I had wall paper and border peeling off, paint chipping and more! So I stripped it all down and repainted the walls and got started with new decor. I went for a beach theme! I already had a few decor pieces I had collected from thrift stores and sales, but I needed something else...a candle! I got this small jar candle at the Dollar Tree but it needed some pizzazz...And if you know me you know I love a good DIY project! So I gathered some supplies.
Here is what you'll need if you would like to make one too:

~small candle
~glue gun and glue sticks
~jute string
~embellishment (mine is a starfish)

Step one is to put a dab of hot glue on the bottom of the rim of the jar and attach the jute.
Then start wrapping it around until you get the rim covered.

Next you need to glue the end of your jute down. This is also where I added my starfish, it covered the glued jute spot :)

Can you believe how simple it was to make this candle go from drab and boring
 to high end and classy?!

Look how cute that is!

Here is your sneak peek of my new bathroom, I still have a bit of remodeling to do before I show it off completely, but you can be sure when I do you will get first look!

Thanks for stopping by today, I hope you come back again.
Have a very blessed day!
